What to wear

Clothing

Gymnasts need to dress appropriately for classes. Appropriate dress includes a leotard and spandex/cotton shorts. Students may wear cotton shorts and a TIGHT fitting t-shirt. Please remember that loose clothing is very dangerous because it makes it difficult for coaches to spot and has the potential to get stuck on equipment. Students may NOT wear jeans, jean shorts, tights or leggings. NO Long pants are to be worn. Please note that if your child is dressed inappropriately for class they may not be allowed to participate. This again is a safety issue. If you have questions pertaining to attire, please contact us directly.

Hair

Hair that is shoulder length or longer needs to be pulled back tightly. Hair needs to be out of the face and off the shoulders. Please do not wear headbands. They fall off and become a distraction as well as a hazard.

Jewelry

NO JEWELRY may be worn in class. Stud earrings may be worn in class if the student just had their ears pierced. Earrings can be hazardous as they can catch on coaches or equipment.
